I first met Louise and Barry when they came to see my work a wedding exhibition. They are such a great couple who wanted to celebrate their marriage in a beautiful Scottish Castle and they choose the magnificent Dalhousie Castle just south of Edinburgh. they were joined by family and friends and exchanged vows in the stunning chapel. The castle was a superb setting for their wedding photographs and Louise looked fabulous in a pale pink bridal gown. Here are just a couple of images from today, the rest will be available shortly. Please email me if you would like the link sent to you.

You really can’t have a wedding in a Scotland especially at a magnificent Scottish Castle without a piper. The stirring sound of the pipes is just so Scottish. A good piper needs to not only sound brilliant but also has to look the part. A big strong strapping Piper in full ceremonial dress will really play a huge part in any wedding celebrations. A piper will greet your guests, pipe you up and down the aisle, entertain you and pipe you into your reception as a newly married couple.I have worked with Stephen Dewar many times and I can thoroughly recommend him. Stephen runs Scotia Pipers and he can provide bagpipers, ceiliedh bands, disco bands and much more. Scotia Pipers were Vows award winners in 2007 so they are well worth checking out, here’s the link to their web site where you can find more information http://www.scotiapipers.co.uk/

On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing an amazing wedding. Naomi and David were joined together in a humanist handfastening ceremony. They photographs look amazing, here are a few of the first ones, just to give you a flavour of the day. Naomi and David broke all the rules for their special day. They got ready together with their friends and bridal party and David and Naomi walked from the Castle to the walled gardens together, laughing and smiling all the way. They showered each other in confetti after the ceremony and then David opened champagne with his dirk. The children at the wedding were adorable and really made the day. If you were at the wedding or just like the photographs then please leave a comment as I know they will read them. Please email me using the contact on this blog if you would like a link to their gallery when it goes online
