Apart from myself with some examples of my wedding photography, there was a host of other wedding suppliers.

The Woodlands is set within beautiful grounds in the heart of Broughty Ferry. Jenny and her staff will attend to every little detail to make your wedding day perfection.

The ballroom is stunning and the permanent dance floor makes for a swift change from reception meal to evening dancing. The silver service at the wedding breakfast just makes the day even more special

Weddings Fairs in Scotland The Invercarse Hotel Dundee Sunday 17th January 2010

ally January 12th, 2010

Well it’s the start of a New Year ,2010, and the beginning of this seasons wedding exhibitions. The year traditionally kicks off for me at the excellent Invercarse Hotel show. This is the first chance for couples who got engaged over Christmas and New Year to start planning their wedding.

The Invercarse is a wonderful local venue with all the right ingredients for your wedding day. They have a great ballroom that has a very glamorous feel to it. The ballroom and bar are all self contained so your guests won’t be mingling with any of the other residents. The gardens make the perfect setting for you photographs and in the summer your guests can spill out onto the lawn with their champagne.  The dance floor is huge and with the right band you can throw a reception that peoplle will really remember. It’s close enough to Dundee so of your younger friends can head off to a club and continue partying once the night has ended. What more could you want. I can personally recommend the food especially the sticky toffee pudding.062x2061

R.R.S Discovery Dundee 30th March 2008

ally March 30th, 2008

Today Wedding Solutions staged a mock wedding on the RRS Discovery. It was good chance for some of the great wedding suppliers in Dundee to show how they would play their part in your wedding. The Bridal party and wedding guests were all willing volunteers, who put on a great show for the crowds on the balcony of Discovery Point. The Dresses were all provided by Scottish Brides and the guys were kitted out by McCalls. The bride arrived in style in a beautiful Royale Windsor car provided by Chauffeurs of Carnoustie and driven by Percy who always ensures that his brides are treated like princesses. The bridemaids arrived in a Bramwith car again provided by Chauffeurs of Carnoustie and the Groom and his Best Man and page Boy were driven to their “wedding” in a wedding bus provided by High Society. The couple were piped up the gangway by Gordon from Piping Solutions where a ceremony was conducted by The Dundee Registrars, of course it was all just pretend and none of the bridal party new each other and the ceremony was videoed by the bride’s real husband! In true Scottish style in rained throughout the whole ceremony and in fact it turned to hailstones as the couple walked down from the ship after the ceremony where I had planned to do some photography on the quayside. But just like in a real wedding no one has any control over the weather. Percy from Chauffeurs popped some champagne with one hand and held a large white brolly with the other, and everyone was still smiling. I have shown you just a sample of the photographs that were taken and hopefully if you braved the rain and came out to watch the ceremony you will have got some idea as to how I work on your wedding day. Thanks everyone for coming and to all those who took part and made it possible, especially Monifieth Amateur Dramatics. The flowers were by Acanthus, the cake by Sheila Brown Cake Artistry, the Band were The Avenue, and the favours were from Favours by Design P.S.
