Jill and Wayne wanted their wedding to be extra special and they planned everything beautifully. I don’t quite know how they managed to arrange the sunshine because it had poured down the day before. Jill looked amazing and just glowed with happiness throughout the day. She got her wish to be married in the gardens with a just a short walk over the little bridge to where Wayne was waiting for his bride. The string quartet was a lovely touch. In fact the whole day was filled with lovely little details that complimented the country house theme, from the table plan which Jill made from picture frames to the scented candles, it was all perfect. Kerry and Daniel’s wedding photographs from The House of Dunn

Neither the rain or Daniel leg in plaster could spoil this wedding day. There were smiles all round from the couples family friends and two adorable children as Daniel married Kerry in the grounds of the beautiful House of Dunn in Angus.

Kerry looked stunning and didn’t let the rain stop her having fun. We managed outside for some wedding photographs and I hope you are all pleased with the results.

Pamela and Scott’s Wedding Photographs Rufflets St Andrews

Sunday saw me at Rufflets in St Andrews photographing Pamela and Scott’s wedding day.

The weather could have been better but we did manage to dodge the showers and take some photographs outside using the natural light. The venue is stunning so everyone was more than happy to mingle and chat indoors.

Pamela looked amazing in a beautiful gown by Justin Alexander and Scott looked very handsome too.

Susan and Peter’s Wedding Photographs at The Apex Hotel

Yvonne and Andy’s Wedding Photographs : Guthrie Castle

Yvonne and Andy told me that the minute they drove through the gates of Guthrie Castle they knew they had found the perfect Scottish Castle to host their wedding.

They both wanted a very relaxed feel to the day and they certainly pulled that off. Their guests spent the morning either golfing or just chilling and getting ready for the wedding. The girls all had lunch in the dinning room and the boys in the library. The ceremony took place in the rose garden and the weather was perfect.

Afterwards we wandered about the castle grounds taking some great wedding photographs while the guests enjoyed the garden games, champagne and some very special looking canapes.

Before dinner was served the guests were treated to a display of Highland dancing and some traditional bagpipe music all of which was organized by Scotia Pipers.

Susan and David’s wedding photographs from Baxter Park Pavillion and Piperdam

I had a fantastic day yesterday photographing Susan and David’s wedding. The day kicked off at their home in Dundee where the girls spent the morning getting their hair and makeup perfected and sipping champagne. The ceremony took place in the most magnificent building, Baxter Park Pavilion. Susan and David’s dog Dudley watched the ceremony from the park outside and then joined then for some family photographs. The sun shone and the bridal car, from Chauffeurs of Carnoustie, was able to drive with the hood down to Piperdam where Susan and David hosted their reception. Stewart and his staff at Piperdam were brilliant as usual. The room looked great and the food was delicious. Scrumtious Cakes made the wedding cake, Stucio Waow arranged the flowers and Sandra did a wonderful job with the girl’s wedding hair and bridal make-up, so they really pulled out all the stops to make this day very special.

Susan looked amazing right down to her dainty Jimmy Choos and David looked very handsome in his kilt. Thanks so much for asking me to photograph your wedding, it was a pleasure.

Ross and Zoe’s Wedding Photography at The Carnoustie Spa and Golf Hotel

Ross and Zoe are a fantastic couple who were married yesterday at The Carnoustie Golf Hotel. Their guests enjoyed sipping their drinks in the sunshine while we took some great wedding photographs.

Zoe and Ross have chosen a Storybook Wedding Album to display the photography from their big day. I am really looking forward to designing it for them. Barbara and Iain’s Wedding Photographs from The Invercarse Hotel

Barbara and Iain are such a delightful couple and I thoroughly enjoyed my day documenting their wedding which they hosted at The Invercarse Hotel in Dundee. They had family and friends gather from all corners of the globe although a few didn’t manage to make the journey (something to do with Iceland leaving the gas on!) I am sure the friends and family who weren’t able to be with them will enjoy seeing the weddings photographs. Victoria and Frank’s Wedding at Guthrie Castle

I had an amazing day last month photographing Victoria and Frank’s wedding at Guthrie Castle in Angus. Frank is from Germany and Victoria from England and they decided to marry in a Scottish Castle, which is very fitting as they work between Dundee and Aberdeen. The weather was not great but everyone braved the elements and we took some great photographs with the castle as a backdrop. The ceremony took place in Guthrie Church at the bottom of the drive to the castle. Some of the guests made use of the golf buggies to avoid the rain.

Trade Show

I have just returned from a hectic couple of days at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre( NEC ) trade show. This is a chance for some of the countries best wedding photographers to get together and bounce some ideas around over a drink and a curry. Well that’s the evenings taken care of ! During the day I was sourcing album suppliers for next year to see if there is anything new to the market that I can offer my customers. The latest cameras and equipment are always on show and its good to replace anything that has been well used during the previous year (it was an expensive trip) I managed to catch a show by one of the countries top wedding photojournalists, Jeff Ascough . He works mainly in black and white and his work was an inspiration.
